What is Edu.Cat?
In 2017 Ten Lives created the free Edu.Cat program with the aim of fostering responsible cat ownership in our community. The curriculum aligned Kinder to Year 7 program has now been delivered to over 40,000 students across the state.
The ground-breaking education program delivers exciting activities and an engaging subject matter – cats! It includes STEM challenges, teacher guidebooks, activity plans, student workbooks, posters, online resources and is free and available to all schools in Tasmania.
We need your help
We need volunteer facilitators who are passionate about inspiring young minds to help deliver the Edu.Cat program in schools. No prior teaching experience is required as full training and support is provided by Ten Lives.
This is an excellent opportunity to help inspire the next generation to care for cats and wildlife responsibly.
Even volunteering a day a fortnight will help this program succeed.
If being in the classroom isn’t your thing, we also require assistance at our office in the preparation of classroom materials, with a helping paw (or not) from our curious office kitties!
Why it matters
With your help, we can create long term social change in how people care for cats, improve community relationships, and protect wildlife. Ten Lives has already received an exciting response to Edu.Cat from schools so far reaching 40,000 students. Our goal is to reach 22,000 students every year, but we need your help!
