Meet Barney! Barney is very sweet and playful. Like all kittens Barney is a bundle of energy, running around one minute and ready for naps the very next. This cat has had intermittent bouts of diarrhoea whilst in our care. We have done faecal tests, and there is currently no infectious cause. This cat no longer has diarrhoea, and is on a specific diet called Hills Digestive Care (I/D) to manage their digestive health. I/D is a complete and balanced diet for kittens and adult cats, and can be fed life long. We recommend continuing to feed I/D for at least 2-3 months. If stools are still normal after this time a very gradual diet transition to an alternate diet can be attempted. We recommend a slow transition over 3-4 weeks - ie week 1: feed 75% I/D, and 25% new diet; week 2: 50% I/D and 50% new diet; week 3: 25% I/D and 75% new diet; week 4: 100% new diet. Barney is desexed, microchipped and toilet trained. Vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date.
