About the role…

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who is creative and driven, who can provide exceptional support to the Marketing and Communications Manager and wider team in raising Ten Lives brand awareness. 

We are seeking a people person with great communication skills who enjoys working in a busy team environment. You’ll be creative and have good capability and experience with graphic design programs. 

You will confidently liaise with the team to create written and graphic content. As part of this role you will be working within a larger team to assist with marketing, communications and fundraising initiatives. You will also be assisting to coordinate a small team of dedicated volunteers.

Your day-to-day

  • Maintenance of Ten Lives website.
  • Coordinating and scheduling of Social Media activity.
  • Provide ongoing support with fundraising and communications in the planning and implementation of local outreach, print and digital marketing.
  • Working with media partners, graphic design, web developer and marketing suppliers.
  • Assist with planning and development of strategic marketing campaigns to support the business activities.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including marketing collateral, website content, e-news, social media posts, and other marketing material that communicates the organisation’s activities, products and/or services.
  • Coordinating high-quality content across communications channels to defined target audiences.
  • Ensure all communication with internal and external stakeholders is seamless regarding consistency of communication messages in line with the brand identity and tone of voice.
  • Ongoing monitoring, optimising and reporting of e-comms campaigns.

  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication with an eye for detail and proof-reading skills.
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Acrobat DC, Premiere Pro, Express)
  • Experience with WordPress content management system.
  • Experience with marketing software such as or similar to Campaign Monitor, JotForm, Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Bluesky, VistaSocial.
  • Knowledge of or ability to acquire Salesforce and Raisely CRM Platforms an advantage.
  • Relationship management skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team and lead a small team of volunteers.

Award conditions. Casual position initially starting at ~0.4–0.6 FTE. Exact employment conditions will be negotiated based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Regular hours can be offered with a flexible roster — ideal for those balancing study or other commitments.
