Enid was approaching 2 months in the adoption rooms and the Ten Lives creative team knew they had to do something to get the message out about this lovely cat.

Beautiful Enid is very affectionate and soon became a staff favourite, greeting anyone who walked past by lifting her head and letting out some gentle meeps.

Since May she had appeared nearly daily on our social media and received many visitors at the centre. Unfortunately, no one had adopted her.

As lovely as she is, Enid required a home with no children or other animals which narrowed down her potential adopters considerably.

Days before she entered the 60 day club the creative team sprung into action, and asked themselves this one question.

What if we photoshop some hats onto her to see if she gets noticed?

#day1

For the first day we kept things simple with a blue baseball hat. It wasn’t long before the fans jumped on board and asked for some requests.

#day2

We listened. On day two Enid was found to be sporting a lovely pink top hat.

#day3

On day 3 the creative team realised a missed opportunity when Enid appeared in a clown hat. Luckily our Top Fan Tamara was there to deliver the goods.

#day4 Meowdy Partner

Day 4 sparked the most reactions with Enid in a cowboy hat, and of course the amazing Tamara was there to do delight us with some real photoshop skills.

#day5

Enid sported a rainbow bucket hat on day 5, which really exemplified how poor the creative team’s photoshop skills are.

#day6

Ahoy there sailors!

#day7

We don’t even know what to say..

#day8

On day 8 the Facebook fans were just about sick and tired of the indignity poor Enid had to go through over the past week.

And so, on day 67 of her time at Ten Lives, someone did in fact come in and adopt her! Woohoo!!

And, when we asked Enid’s new owner which of Enid’s hat she liked best she replied, ‘I haven’t actually seen any of them..

Enid and her new human.

Because, as the creative team has just learnt, photoshopping stupid hats on cats doesn’t actually help get them adopted!

Enid, on behalf of all the staff at Ten Lives, we wish you the most amazing life with your new human!
