Meet Yarrow 🐾 Yarrow is an adorable 8 year and 11 month old tabby gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger love for cuddles. Despite his size, he's convinced he's a tiny lap cat and will happily curl up on you whenever the opportunity arises. He loves snuggling close, sleeps with his paws stretched out like Superman, and somehow manages to squeeze himself into the smallest, cosiest spaces for a nap. A true sun worshipper, Yarrow can often be found stretched out in a warm patch of sunlight, enjoying the finer things in life. When he's not napping, he's busy putting his clever mind to work. This intelligent boy has been known to open cupboards and is fascinated by door handles and light switches, often trying to figure out exactly how they work! Yarrow is also quite chatty, particularly when food is involved. He's very food-motivated and isn't shy about reminding you when breakfast is due. Like many cats, Yarrow enjoys having appropriate scratching outlets available and is a fan of scratching posts and toys. Yarrow is overweight. We are managing their weight loss with Hills Metabolic food. We recommended continuing with this in their new home until he reaches his ideal weight. This lovely boy enjoys playing with feather wand toys and still has plenty of fun-loving energy when the mood strikes. Yarrow, like many cats, is particularly fastidious (clean) and may refuse to toilet/ or toilet outside the tray if it has been used already that day. Yarrow has also shown he has a strong preference for paper litter. We recommend continuing to provide Yarrow with 2 x extra-large trays (with paper litter) to avoid any inappropriate toileting in the future and to make him more comfortable. Yarrow had a mild buildup of calculus and gingivitis on his top back teeth. He had a dental x-ray and scale and polish while in our care, and we don't expect these teeth will cause him any more issues than normal teeth would. Yarrow would be happiest in a quieter home and would do well with respectful older children or teenagers who can appreciate his gentle and affectionate nature. If you're looking for a cuddly, quirky companion with plenty of character, a love of sunshine, and a talent for making you smile, Yarrow could be the perfect addition to your family. Yarrow is desexed, microchipped and toilet trained. Vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date.
