Say hello to Cardi! Cardi is very sweet and playful. Like all kittens Cardi is a bundle of energy, running around one minute and ready for naps the very next. Cardi lived with his litter mates in foster care so he may be suitable to a home where he would share the new space with another cat or kitten. We always recommend slow introductions for the best possible outcomes. Cardi had an episode of inappropriate toileting whilst in foster care, we believe it is due to being particularly fastidious (clean). Providing multiple trays (2-3) prevented this cat from toileting outside the tray. He also has a preference for soft litter substrate (like clumping clay or newspaper). By providing him with these we do not expect him to have any issues. This cat has the following dietary requirements for the following reasons: Hills ID gastrointestinal diet due to intermittent bouts of diarrhoea as a young kitten. This diet is highly digestible, has added prebiotic fibre and helps to promote a healthy stools. Cardi has had cat flu during his time in our care. Cat flu is common and many cats have had it at some stage in their life. The common flu viruses tend to stay in the cats system and may flare up again in the future, especially in times of stress. Symptoms may include: sneezing, watery/squinty eyes, nasal discharge. We recommend your cat keep up to date with their vaccinations, as this may help reduce the severity of symptoms. Cardi is desexed, microchipped and toilet trained. Vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date.
