Meet Halo!! Halo is clever, affectionate and playful. She was harness trained while in foster care, and thoroughly enjoyed a couple of walks a day to sniff and explore around the property. She also had access to a secure, outdoor enclosure which she loved using as a sun lounge and bird watching deck. She has BKE (big kitten energy), and loves playfighting, so have some toys ready for her to rumble with (instead of your hands). And on the flip slide, Halo is a also passionate snuggler, she loves rubbing her face on yours. Expect her company whenever you sit or lay down, especially if there is an electric blanket on offer. Halo may seem a little shy initially, but once she is comfortable with her people and her surroundings, she craves attention and affection. She would love a guardian who can spend lots of time with her, or a multi person household so there's always someone to cuddle and play with. That said, she seems happy enough to be left alone for a nice long snooze on a comfy chair or windowsill. She is not suitable to a home with other cats. Halo has a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). She is currently asymptomatic and does not require medication and lives a good quality of life. Life expectancy with this condition varies - many cats will live a normal life without complications, while some will progress quickly, require medications, and may develop heart failure. This cat will require ongoing monitoring of the heart by your veterinarian, including a repeat cardiac ultrasound in 6-12 months. If you are interested in adopting Halo, please see reception staff to arrange a consultation with our vet team to discuss her heart condition. On adoption we can provide your veterinarian with a copy of this cats' ultrasound report and medical history. Halo has also had cat flu during her time in our care and has a preference for clay litter types. Please chat with our friendly team for further information. Halo is desexed, microchipped and toilet trained. Vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date
