The Role

We are looking for fit and energetic volunteers to assist with caring for the cats in our adoption and boarding area, whether this is assisting with feeding and cleaning kennels or undertaking other very necessary and important daily tasks, such as doing laundry, washing litter trays, carriers, dishes and restocking supplies throughout the centre.

There will also be opportunity to spend time providing enrichment to the cats in our care, once all the important husbandry tasks are completed.

Shifts

Monday – Saturday

  • 8am – 11am (3 hours)
  • 11am – 2pm (3 hours)
  • 1pm – 4pm (3 hours)

Sunday

  • 8am – 3pm (all day)
  • 8am – 11am (3 hours)
  • 11am – 2:30pm (2.5 hours)

Tasks Include

  • Feeding cats and kittens
  • Cleaning litter trays
  • Completing their health charts
  • Following cleaning procedures
  • General cleaning of kitchen, bathrooms and reception area
  • Laundry, washing litter trays, carriers, dishes and other items
  • Restocking supplies (bedding, litter & food)
  • Providing enrichment to the cats once all other tasks are complete.
