We all want to sing “Tammy, Tammy, Tammy’s in love”. But what does an indemnity mean for a cat like Tammy? Here is Tammy to tell you in her own words.

“You can see from my eyes that I have lots of love to give. The whole Ten Lives team have looked after me so well for so long that I am forever grateful, but I really just want my forever home now and my forever human to love. I’m looking for a special human who can love me as a whole package, even though I do have a few little problems. After all, none of us are purrfect, are we?

“Ten Lives sure has taken good care of me since I arrived there in January this year; they have given me over 30 vet checks and I’ve been looked after by three foster carers! They’ve all been so patient and kind to me, even though I’ve been quite a timid and nervous patient.

“It took me a while to get used to toileting at first, but now I’m happy to use my extra large tray as long as it has my favourite soft, clumping litter. Also, I’m not so nervous any more, especially when I live in a quiet home without other cats or dogs and have my human all to myself. I’m not really a ‘lap cat’ yet, but I do love to smooch around my human’s legs making my cute little soft chatty noises.

“During one of my Ten Lives vet checks this year, they found I had clicky knees or ‘bilateral luxating patellas’ and then an X-ray they sent me for, showed mild hip dysplasia. But I’m still young and I have more growing to do, which might fix things. I have to go and have another X-ray at the end of November, so if you decide to be my forever human you’ll need to take me to Claremont Vet where I am booked in at the end of November. This bill and any surgery resulting from the appointment is covered by Ten Lives. Ten Lives call this arrangement an ‘indemnity’ – they are so kind to kitties like me!”

“I’ve been at Ten Lives for so long, they know me very well and they say I have ‘excellent manners’ and ‘a quirky, affectionate and sweet nature’.

“Please come and visit me at New Town. If we fall in love with one another, and you’d like to take me home with you, you can have a chat with my vet team.”
