As winter is upon us and we find ourselves just past the shortest day we have some bright news for you. Ten Lives is now one step closer to its goal of constructing a world class cat management facility to serve the cats and community of Tasmania.
This week we announce that we now have our building and plumbing permits in place, and a contract signed with local building company Podmatrix. This milestone coincides with the completion of our project plan for the construction ahead.
However, there are still many challenges to face. Although the works for Stage 1 of the construction are signed off we still need your support to reach our funding goal for the construction of the complete facility.
This will allow Ten Lives to help the unwanted and abandoned cats of southern Tasmania who so desperately need our help.
The reality is that our current facility no longer meets our needs to support the volume of cats we see every year. Stage 1 of the building work will see the construction of a quarantine facility for infectious disease and hospital space for our sick cats and kittens.
The more money that’s raised, the more facilities we will be able to build to support these cats on their journey to adoption. The Ten Lives building project will truly bring the centre into the 21st century.
Can we count on you to help us help the cats of Tasmania receive the gift of health and hope on their journey to adoption?
To all those that have donated so far we give our thanks. Thank you.
We also send our gratitude to all that have supported Ten Lives, and to our ambassador, Dave Noonan, for his help in rallying the support of local business.
