How can I help?

Veterinary treatments for the cats and kittens who come into our care is a significant part of Ten Lives’ budget, averaging around $10,000 each month. It’s where funding for our shelter is always greatly needed. As Tasmania’s largest dedicated cat shelter, we see some of the worst cases of abuse and neglect – donations are quickly used for treatment.

By joining our V.E.T.S. Club you can help us be at the ready to treat these kitties who come to us in need of life saving care and treatments.

V.E.T.S. Club

The Vital & Emergency Treatment Supporters Club or “V.E.T.S. Club” provides ongoing medical care for the 3,000+ cats and kittens who come to the shelter each year. Treatment ranges from antibiotics and vaccinations to testing, spay and castration surgery, and more. The health and well-being of cats in our shelter is an important part of our mission. The V.E.T.S. Club allows us to begin treating animals the moment they arrive at our shelter.

Each case that comes to us is unique – orthopedic issues such as broken bones or sprains, complicated and sometimes emergency surgeries, cats with ringworm, and much more. We can only help those cats due to kindness and support from the community. You can be part of their story by donating via the V.E.T.S. Club. What you get
